Research direction

The issue is on hold until DeployCraft covers the step types and options listed in PARITE.md (sections 2.5-2.8, 2.20-2.28, and variables 8.2/8.5), so do not start an implementation yet. Read PARITE.md to see which gaps remain, then ask the maintainer whether the hold is lifted. If it is, the work is an XML package reader with a per-package preview and minimal self-written test files; the payload names no existing source files.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
