Research direction

The report points at the lxqt-config package, so start with its template under srcpkgs/lxqt-config/template and compare its dependencies and build options with the icon theme code it uses. Reproducing the bug needs an LXQt install built with void-mklive, so this is hard to check without that setup. Done means the icon list fills in on a fresh install without a manual rebuild, and the maintainers confirm which packages need the fix.

Description

Using void-mklive, I created an ISO with the LXQt desktop. I noticed that, under the “Appearance” menu, when I try to choose the icons I want to use, I can't select any because the menu is empty.

At first, I thought it might be a problem with the icons, but after trying several icon packs, the problem remained the same.

Once I ruled out an icon-related issue, I tried rebuilding the lxqt-config package, and after doing so, I saw that the icons were now displayed.

In addition to lxqt-config, it’s likely that other components of the LXQt desktop will need to be rebuilt.
