Start with the workspace sync configuration and the sscbirrt test dependency declarations, then inspect the workspace gitlinks for ada_mj and mj_viser. The payload does not name the workflow file or dependency manifest, so locate the Workspace Integration workflow and sibling package configuration before changing anything. Done means the seven listed test modules collect without ModuleNotFoundError, both gitlink-freshness checks pass, and the cross-repo integration tests plus import smoke check run successfully.

Outcome

Workspace Integration is green on main and on pull requests, so its cross-repo tests (including tests/integration/test_mujoco_groups.py from #172) run and gate changes again.

Current state

The nightly run on main has failed every day since at least 2026-10-15, and pull requests fail the same way. Two independent causes:

  1. Per-sibling unit tests: sscbirrt's tests do not import. Seven modules fail collection with ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'hypothesis' (test_violation.py, test_unwrap.py, test_sets_properties.py, test_seeds.py, test_native_mujoco_scene.py, test_mujoco_collision_corpus.py, test_admissibility.py). The workspace sync does not install sscbirrt's test dependencies. Because this step fails, "Cross-repo integration tests" and "Import smoke check" are skipped, so no cross-repo test runs at all.
  2. gitlink-freshness: two gitlinks are behind their default-branch tips. ada_mj is at 9c440eb (tip f7821ef), and mj_viser is at cb853de (tip 13754d8).

Scope

  • Install sibling test dependencies in the workspace sync (sscbirrt's hypothesis at least), or have the per-sibling step use each sibling's own dev extras.
  • Decide when stale gitlinks may be bumped:
    • The mj_viser tip is 0.2.0, whose viewer API changes break mj_manipulator, geodude, and ada_mj until personalrobotics/mj_manipulator#181, personalrobotics/geodude#206, and personalrobotics/ada_mj#54 land.
    • Bumping it before those migrations turns the import and integration tests red instead.
  • Re-run Workspace Integration on #172 afterward, and confirm test_mujoco_groups.py runs (6 passed and 20 strict expected failures at the time of writing).

Sequencing

This waits until the asset group issues (personalrobotics/prl_assets#18, personalrobotics/geodude_assets#28, personalrobotics/ada_assets#35) are addressed, so the workspace pins move once, onto compliant assets.

Acceptance criteria

  • Per-sibling unit tests import and run, with no missing test dependencies.
  • gitlink-freshness passes, with each pin bumped only once its dependents are ready.
  • Cross-repo integration tests and the import smoke check run and pass on main.
