Start by reading the collection configuration and the MCP resources implementation that broadcasts collection context at startup; the issue does not name specific files or tests. Trace how collection metadata reaches MCP resources and tooling parameters, including the startup race mentioned in the issue. Done means collection configs accept markdown descriptions and the expanded MCP context resource includes the collection descriptions/metadata.

As a developer we should expand the metadata associated with our collection resources to enhance MCP resources.

Acceptance criteria

  • Allow a markdown description in collection configs

  • Integrate collection descriptions/metadata into an expanded MCP context resource

Assumptions and questions

  • Collections are minimally broadcast to agents on start up via the MCP resources patternfly context. We can enhance it further with concise agent friendly descriptions.

  • We may need a "human" and "agent" specific metadata, most agents generally don't require verbose descriptions

  • Review incorporating metadata into MCP tooling params. The startup/boot race that currently happens is/was preventing consistent parameters on start

  • Related to activation of the AI Handbook
