Start by reading the observer and forecaster table definitions and their existing routes for retrieving and updating those records. Trace how the API returns these records, then determine how the proposed delay fields fit that flow. Done means both fields can be stored, updated, and returned for observers and forecasters; the issue leaves their default values undecided.

  • alert_delay_hours

Perhaps they can be default to None, so things dont break, or we deciced on some default values

To observer and forecaster tables.
Would need a route to update the observer and/or forecaster and get these values back when getting an observer or forecaster
