Start by tracing the existing Job storage, polling, and finalization paths that collect log_* messages. Define bounded batched progress updates that preserve order, avoid duplicates, survive Script database rollback, retain messages after interruption, and keep access checks and sanitization; WebSockets and other streaming services are out of scope.

Proposed functionality

Explore displaying log_* messages before a run finishes. Structured script logs are currently collected at finalization, so polling Job status does not show that progress.

Start with bounded, batched updates using existing Job storage and polling. Define update frequency and size limits, preserve message order, and avoid duplicates when saving the final result.

Keep access checks and sanitization. Progress writes should survive the Script's database rollback, and saved messages should remain available after interrupted execution. A WebSocket service or general streaming platform is outside the initial scope.

Use case

For a Script processing many devices, progress messages help distinguish ongoing work from a stalled run. They also preserve context if the worker stops before finalization.

External dependencies

Evaluate existing Job storage and polling first. No new service is proposed.
