Read lib/onboarding/course_code.dart to understand the normalizer, then implement the widget in lib/screens/onboarding/courses_step.dart and cover the acceptance cases in test/onboarding_courses_step_test.dart. The issue is blocked by #7, so start after it merges; run flutter test test/onboarding_courses_step_test.dart and check that validation, duplicates, the 12-course limit, deletion, and the disabled Done state behave as specified.

What to build

Let a student add a course to the course-list step. Convert common typed spellings to the standard course code and show each accepted course as a removable chip.

Files

  • lib/screens/onboarding/courses_step.dart (new file)
  • Starting example: lib/screens/onboarding_screen.dart
    Code to add or extend: CoursesStep({initialCourses,onSubmit,onBack}) and add-course handler.

Steps

  1. Hold a copy of initialCourses in local List and a code-input controller.
  2. On Add, call normalizeCourseCode; null displays Enter a course code such as CSCI 1301. and adds nothing.
  3. On valid result append a deletable InputChip and clear input; limits are next slice.

Example

csci1301 → one CSCI 1301 chip; nope → error, unchanged chips.

Check it works

In test/screens/onboarding/courses_step_11_test.dart, check the example above and the failure or limit described in the steps. Run flutter test test/screens/onboarding/courses_step_11_test.dart and flutter analyze.
