Research direction

Start with packages/editor-ui/src/components/ui/SplitButton.jsx and compare it with the three-dot row menus, focusing on roles, Arrow/Home/End navigation, Escape, focus entry and return, and trigger controls. Check how the menus handle deleting the trigger row, then add keyboard and assistive-technology coverage for opening, choosing, cancelling, and deleting a row.

Description

enhancement

Make the three-dot menus easier to use with a keyboard.

Compare row menus with SplitButton: roles, Arrow/Home/End, Escape, focus-in/return and trigger controls. Decide where focus goes after deleting the trigger row; remove duplicated listeners only as useful.

Done when: Keyboard and assistive-technology checks cover open, choose, cancel and row deletion.

Start: SplitButton.jsx. Source: Original §53.
