Description

area: core area: tui type: feature

Maintainer-owned: @srothgan will implement this. Please do not pick this up or open implementation PRs.

Problem Statement

There is no dedicated /diff view for inspecting current repository changes from the app. Inline tool diffs do not provide an overview of the repository's current state.

Proposed Solution

Add a read-only /diff view with changed-file selection, scrolling, refresh and a way back to the conversation. Make the scope of displayed changes clear, including staged, unstaged and untracked files. Handle an unchanged repository, binary files, a directory outside Git and failed Git reads explicitly.

Reuse the existing diff rendering in src/ui/diff.rs and the app's slash-command and fullscreen-view patterns. Opening or refreshing the view must not modify repository files or the Git index.
