Research direction

Start from the rtpengine-cli script and the code path behind rtpengine-cli list totals, then follow how those totals are fetched from the daemon (control protocol) and where the running averages are accumulated, since a reset has to clear them at the source rather than in the CLI. Look for an existing reset-style command to copy. Done when rtpengine-cli reset totals zeroes the counters and a following list totals reports averages restarted from that point, without restarting rtpengine. The issue names no files, so expect to spend time locating the stats subsystem first.

Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

i am in the process of monitoring the rtpengine statistics returned by rtpengine-cli list totals.
Is there a possibilty to reset Average MOS and other statistics without restarting the rtpengine service? If the rtpengine service runs for a long time, evaluating the Average MOS will not help us.
