Problem Statement

Many smartphone displays have some preset saturation level options, however, it would be great if the user could customize the color saturation according to their own preference. Some displays such as my personal Nothing phone, have very little display color control, only 2 modes and the built in rgb slider is not accurate at all and no granular control. Custom saturation levels or customizable color tones or having RGB sliders would be a great feature for the app.

Proposed Solution

I would propose the following:

  1. Saturation Level Slider: For increasing or decreasing display saturation level from 1-100, default system display saturation would be 50.

  2. RGB Slider: An RGB slider with granular control, where user is able to freely move the slider to select RGB levels from 1-100.

  3. Display Contrast Level Slider: If possible, customizing display contrast level with a slider, as it is possible on Windows PCs.

  4. Color Tone Presets: If possible, some presets similar to Samsung phones (Adaptive, Neutral, Vibrant, Contrasty, Muted, Natural, Expressive, Monochrome etc.)

  5. Automation: Per app color tone management, such as keeping the screen in Monochrome mode while in the home screen or document reader, but when apps like YouTube are opened, switching to a different color profile such as Vibrant. Users being able to assign color profile to apps, according to their preferences.
