Research direction

The crash is reported in the relay and rendezvous entry points, so start with src/relay_server.rs (tcp :21117) and src/rendezvous_server.rs (extra tcp :21115). Reproduce by connecting with telnet to each port on an aarch64 Linux build and watch for the roughly 1 GB allocation failure. Find where a buffer is sized from data read off the socket. Done means the server stays up on a bare telnet connection, with a regression test that reproduces it. Maintainer direction is still needed.

Description

bug

Hello.

The program starts without console errors (when launched manually rather than via a script; if run via a script, it outputs nothing to the screen—I would need to check the logs, though I doubt the output differs). However, upon attempting to connect via Telnet to port 21115 or 21117, the console displays a "memory allocation of 1070071572 bytes failed" error, and either hbbr or hbbs crashes, depending on the port used.

I am using a Keenetic Peak router with EntWare installed. I am running KeeneticOS 5.1.6 (I noticed the 5.1.7 update while writing this post, so I updated and tested it again).

I also tested this after running # opkg update && opkg upgrade, but the situation remained unchanged.

I tried installing the package via opkg install rustdesk-server, and I also tried downloading https://github.com/rustdesk/rustdesk-server/releases/download/1.1.16/rustdesk-server-linux-arm64v8.zip, extracting it, and running it. The result was the same in both cases—exactly as described above. When launched, the following information is displayed:

./hbbr
