Research direction

The payload names no source files, tests or entry points, only a reporter's FPS measurements from streaming a local video file. Reproducing needs the reporter's sample video, which is behind a link, and a root cause has not been identified. Done would mean a diagnosed cause with a measured FPS improvement, but the thread has been silent for about 545 days and the scope is open.

Description

Hi @pedroSG94 ,

I’ve encountered an issue with the FPS performance when streaming a local video file. Regardless of the input video resolution or frame rate, the resulting stream consistently runs at a lower FPS, typically around 9-20 FPS and rarely reaching above 24 FPS.

For example, I’ve tested with:

  • A 1080x1920 video at 60 FPS
  • A 540x720 video at 30 FPS
However, both show the same FPS drop during streaming.

I’ve attached a sample video file for your reference, so you can easily reproduce and test the behavior on your end. https://photos.app.goo.gl/SZUU5zGiH93nuR4T6

Do you have any suggestions on how to improve the FPS when streaming local video files? Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your support!
