Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the desktop client's fixed minimum-free-space check and the settings menu, then determine how a user-configurable limit should be stored and applied; done means users can set the limit in settings and syncing respects it.

Feature request

Which Nextcloud Version are you currently using: 4.0.4 daily (Gentoo)

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
My disk is pretty small and rarely has more than 1 GB of free space. That's just how my system works. Nextcloud desktop client has a fixed limit of around 1 GB which it will keep free at all costs, meaning it refuses to sync, unless I free up space. This doesn't work for me.

Describe the solution you'd like
I want to be able to set my own minimum free disk space limit via a simple entry in the settings menu.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I tried setting an environment variable that I found after some googling, but it did nothing. This is also not a suitable method for less experienced users.
