Research direction
Start by reading related issues #772 and #797, then locate the implementation of “Minimize Others” and the staging behavior. Confirm how staged windows are represented and decide whether the agreed behavior is default exclusion or a settings toggle. Done means staged windows remain available when “Minimize Others” runs, with the chosen preference behavior working on macOS.

Description
Feature Request Summary
Staged windows should be excluded from the "Minimize Others" action by default — or at least be excludable via a settings toggle (e.g. "Include staged windows when minimizing others").
Problem / Opportunity & Desired Solution
Problem:
Staged windows are not minimized and not hidden — they sit at the edge of the screen precisely so they can be recalled instantly when needed. Running "Minimize Others" sweeps them into the Dock like any other window, which defeats the entire purpose of staging: the whole point is to keep those windows one click away, not buried behind an extra reopen-and-restage step. For anyone who relies on staging, this turns "Minimize Others" from a time-saver into extra work.
Desired Solution:
- Staged windows stay staged when "Minimize Others" runs.
- Alternatively, add a settings toggle so users can choose whether staged windows are affected (a default-on exclusion plus a toggle would satisfy both usage patterns).
Alternatives Considered
- Running "Hide Others" instead — hides rather than minimizes, and still affects staged windows, so the recall workflow is broken either way.
- Manually un-staging windows before using "Minimize Others", then re-staging afterwards — far too many steps for what should be a one-keystroke action.

Additional Context
This proposal is consistent with the design intent expressed in #772, where "Minimize Others" was chosen over "Minimize All" specifically to avoid forcing users to reopen windows afterwards. Excluding staged windows extends that same reasoning to the staging feature.
