Research direction

Start by checking the Fractal wiki Delay, Reverb, and Drive block pages and Effects list, then look for sibling docs in the community amp guide. Report which effect families have usable references in this issue before building anything; stop for any family without a source rather than infer what its types model. The issue says the eventual contract matches issue #4, so review that issue for the remaining implementation requirements.

What

Same "reference, not guessing" move for effect algorithm/type selectors: delay models, reverb types, drive models, modulation algorithms, mapped to what they emulate.

Gate: assess before building

Check whether a clean source exists, and report findings in this issue BEFORE building anything:

  • Fractal wiki block pages (Delay block, Reverb block, Drive block, etc.) and the Effects list page
  • The community amp guide's sibling docs, if any

Known so far: the drive roster (86 entries) and reverb roster (79 entries) in the catalog already carry descriptive names, some obvious ("Klone Chiron", "Medium Spring"), some not ("Tone of Kings", "Full OD"). The multitap algorithms are only 6 entries, one already identified on hardware (ordinal 1 = Aurora, Keeley Halo style). Some type names cannot be enumerated from the device (display-name reads are stale outside the amp block), so a documented source is the only path.

If no usable reference exists for a family, report that and stop for that family. Do not guess what an effect type models.

Contract

Same as issue #4: generated sidecar(s) + generator + registry loader + staleness check + notices + facts only.
