Research direction

Start at crates/gpu-gates/src/bin/gate_deepseek41_chain_ffn.rs, lines 149 and 152, where the local U and gamma are defined, then compare them with the shared definitions in crates/gpu-gates/src/rounding.rs at lines 10 and 17. Replace the local copies with an import of bloomery_gpu_gates::rounding::{U, gamma} and check that the binary still builds. Done means both local definitions are gone and the crate compiles unchanged in behaviour.

Description

review-bot

gate_deepseek41_chain_ffn.rs:149 defines U and :152 defines gamma locally. They reproduce the f32 unit roundoff and gamma(n) formula already owned by rounding.rs:10 and :17 (R14). Import bloomery_gpu_gates::rounding::{U, gamma} and delete the local definitions. This removes two duplicate definitions without adding a dependency.

Evidence (at the base of #237):

Filed by Shingler, the review bot, while reviewing #237; the defect is outside that pull request.
