Research direction

The issue describes a tutorial scenario involving land units, morale-based revolts, winter events, map expansion, and objectives around Kali, but it names no files, entry points, or tests. Clarify the implementation scope and acceptance criteria first, including how the scenario starts, ends, and determines success or failure.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

First scenario (tutorial):

  • Player controls only land units on a small map
  • Half of player's armies sieged the orc city of Kali but, as winter approached, morale dropped to the extent that the armies revolted, causing the armies to form a new faction
  • Armies in revolt are returning to their home cities to cause a full revolution (ending the scenario, if successful)
  • Player needs to send in their remaining units to engage the revolting armies (conflicting on the morale score rather than strength) and bring them back under control
  • On the next winter, an orc army from Kali and other cities (all off map) move to attack the player's region
  • If the player defeats the orc army, the map opens up some more to reveal Kali with a new objective to take the city
  • If the player begins to fail, a neutral region will side with the player and will assist them in taking Kali
