Research direction

Start by reading the skilled-nursing pack in taskuary/industries/skilled-nursing/, since the issue asks you to copy its six files: README.md, glossary.md, software.md, players.md, conventions.md and SOURCES.md. Pick one industry from the checklist and comment to claim it. Done means a new folder under taskuary/industries/ with all six files, plain-language reference content, and every source credited in SOURCES.md under the licence rules.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

enhancement help wanted

Taskuary is getting industry packs: reference material an owner switches on by picking their industry in setup, so the agents already know the industry's lingo, its software landscape, its big players and how its year runs.

The first pack is a draft for skilled nursing & long-term care: taskuary/industries/skilled-nursing/. Its improvement is tracked in #257.

Help wanted: packs for more industries. The proposed first set:

  • Healthcare: clinics and hospitals
  • Legal
  • Accounting / CPA firms
  • Construction
  • Real estate: brokerage and property management
  • Insurance
  • Banking & finance
  • Software / SaaS
  • Manufacturing
  • Logistics & transportation
  • Retail & e-commerce
  • Nonprofit
  • Education administration (K-12, higher ed)
  • Government

Shape: copy the skilled nursing pack's six files.

  • README.md: a few lines, shown in setup.
  • glossary.md: terms and acronyms, grouped.
  • software.md: a job → what it does → commonly seen table.
  • players.md: market, leaders, associations, regulators.
  • conventions.md: day, month, quarter, year, plus the events that drive mail.
  • SOURCES.md

Keep it reference, not advice. Write it in plain words, aimed at an agent reading a professional's inbox.

Good raw material, licence-safe:

  • O*NET Technology Skills (CC BY 4.0, credit it): which software each occupation uses.
  • Wikidata (CC0): companies and products by industry.
  • US federal agency glossaries and manuals (public domain).
  • NAICS for the industry's scope.

Rules (the repository is public):

  • Only your own words, public-domain or CC BY sources (credited in SOURCES.md).
  • No CC BY-SA, non-commercial, unlicensed, paywalled or vendor text pasted in.
  • No information about real customers, patients or employees.

One industry per PR is ideal. Comment here to claim one so two people don't write the same pack.
