Start by locating the section_edge entry point and its existing section-count handling. Compare the requested max-depth-like option and transitive sectioning behavior with the current command semantics; done means both features work for direct and multi-edge node pairs.

As suggested by @dkcumming, it'd be helpful to support the following two new features in section_edge:
- In addition to the number of sections, support a
max-depth-like parameter; - Support transitive sectioning, i.e., make
section_edgework for every two nodes connected by a number of edges (e.g., for nodes1 - 2 - 3, supportsection-edge 1 3).
