The payload names no source files, so start by finding where the Android app turns note Markdown into displayed text. Choosing a math renderer (KaTeX, or a Java/Android option) and how it fits into that path is a design decision, and the linked issue #566 shows the earlier RxMarkdown approach was dropped. Done means a formula in a note renders on screen. Ask in the thread about the preferred renderer before writing code.
