Start with the desktop-tools-build configuration that copies files into <out>/Licenses, then check how it handles native2 builds and existing license files. Update that copy step for Peekaboo and any ported AXorcist code, and revise docs/licenses.md to describe the ported code. Done when native2 build notices include the required license notices and the docs no longer describe Peekaboo and AXorcist as linked.

37 files under native2/Sources say they're ported from Peekaboo, which is MIT licensed. MIT requires its copyright and permission notice to go with substantial portions of the code.

The 0.17.0 DMG ships notices for desktop-tools only. docs/licenses.md still lists Peekaboo and AXorcist as linked, which describes the old stack, not native2.

To fix:

  • add Peekaboo's (and AXorcist's, if any of it was ported) LICENSE to what desktop-tools-build copies into <out>/Licenses for native2 builds, and
  • update docs/licenses.md to say native2 contains code ported from them rather than linking them.
