Start-EditorServices freezes terminal

報告されている Import-Module のパスと Start-EditorServices コマンドから始め、通常のターミナルと VSCode 1.96.0 経由でフリーズを再現します。報告には起動時の出力やログが含まれていないため、それらを収集し、Editor Services が応答を停止する箇所を特定します。Start-EditorServices が完了し、ターミナルに点滅するカーソルを残さなければ完了です。

Summary

I ran into this issue when my VSCode debugger broke after an VSCode update. After some troubleshooting I discovered that the issue originates from PowerShellEditorServices. When starting Editor services, the console hangs on a never ending blinking cursor.
