A long barrow, a bridge, a country house and a village all get "carousel" and "palace". In our copy of the places tiles, 471 places carry exactly this list, all with an AllThePlaces source (update_time 2026-09-09T08:16:19Z).

What you expected

Each place's own category (e.g. archaeological site, bridge, historic house), or no category where the feed gives none, rather than a feed-wide default list.

Evidence

The four GERS IDs above all carry the identical list. Some ids from this feed gained real categories in this release from another source, while others still carry only the list, which suggests the list is a feed-level default in the AllThePlaces mapping.
