The payload names no source file, so start by searching the repository for the AllThePlaces category mapping and for the literal strings carousel and sculpture_statue. Check the four GERS IDs in the issue to confirm they carry the same default list. Done when places from this feed get their own category, or none where the feed gives none, and no longer receive the shared list.

Every place imported from one AllThePlaces feed (by name, National Trust / English Heritage properties in the UK) carries the same category whatever the place is: taxonomy primary arts_and_entertainment with alternates public_plaza, carousel, palace, sculpture_statue (in the older categories field: attractions_and_activities, plaza, carousel, palace, sculpture_statue). A long barrow, a bridge, a country house and a village all get "carousel" and "palace". In our copy of the places tiles, 471 places carry exactly this list, all with an AllThePlaces source (update_time 2026-09-09T08:16:19Z).

What you expected

Each place's own category (e.g. archaeological site, bridge, historic house), or no category where the feed gives none, rather than a feed-wide default list.

Evidence

The four GERS IDs above all carry the identical list. Some ids from this feed gained real categories in this release from another source, while others still carry only the list, which suggests the list is a feed-level default in the AllThePlaces mapping.
