Direzione di ricerca

The request names rtpengine-ctl and systemd; begin at the control client and find the daemon-side command and signal handling, then the point where an incoming offer is admitted to the session table, since that is what must be gated. Check how the process currently exits and whether a systemd unit exists. Done means: on the signal, new offers are rejected, established sessions drain to zero, the daemon exits without error, and systemd does not relaunch it. Expect maintainer input on scope before coding.

Descrizione

It should be very nice if rtpengine can have a gracefull shutdown capability.

The concept is simple, if RTPEngine receives a USR signal from the OS or a command using rtpengine-ctl, it stops to accept new call offers, and only works with stablished sessions, new sessions are rejected.

When all sessions are finished and deleted, rtpengine should exit without any error.
Manage this capability using systemd to avoid process relaunch should be super-nice.

The idea is extracted from mediaproxy from ag-projects, is a nice function that helps to avoid affect established calls in case of updates
