The payload names no files, tests or entry points, so the first step is to find where the testsuite's return code is defined and used across the in-tree tests. Tally the 1, 0 and -1 values the issue mentions and see which tests depend on them. Done means a maintainer-agreed decision on whether to remove the retcode, followed by a change that keeps the suite passing.

AFAICT having a retcode in the testsuite is redundant and error-prone. If we have an errno, then the syscall should return -1...

In addition, looking at the instances we have in-tree, we have a retcode of 1, 0 and -1 - something doesn't feel right.
