Read the single existing comment to see whether the maintainers have agreed on scope, then search the JavaScript sources for the tiling and window-swap code paths. Done would need a maintainer-agreed design for which transitions animate and how they can be disabled, so confirm that before writing any code.

(1) Description
Maybe adding some short and quick animations to tiling windows, swapping windows, etc? I feel like this would make the experience feel nicer and smoother. This also feels like a feature that doesn't have to be enabled by default.
