Direzione di ricerca

Start with app/layout/State.zig and openPicker, then trace Layout.drawCaptured, drawSolid, and core.FrameTarget.snapshot; compare that flow with ViewDrag.photographFromFrame. Confirm the proposed cause by skipping drawCaptured in drawSolid and checking whether the flash disappears. Done when opening the picker uses last-frame snapshots for on-screen surfaces while retaining captured drawing for floats in OS windows and web frames without snapshots.

Descrizione

bug

Reported by Graphl; cause likely, not confirmed.

Clicking a pane's corner button opens the view picker. That sets snapshots_wanted (app/layout/State.zig openPicker), so on the next frame every on-screen surface without a snapshot is drawn through Layout.drawCaptured: offscreen, then copied back. The sidebar visibly redraws for a frame. ViewDrag.photographFromFrame hit the same problem for drags and fixed it by copying last frame's pixels with core.FrameTarget.snapshot.

To confirm: skip drawCaptured in drawSolid and see whether the flash goes away.

Fix: photograph on-screen surfaces from the frame target, at openPicker time while the last frame is still clean. Keep drawCaptured for floats in OS windows and for web frames that return no snapshot.
