Direzione di ricerca

Start with the SDK surface API, plugins/workbench/src/Workspace.zig, and the code for revealSurface, paletteFolder(), and Surface.scrolls_itself. Trace how Graphl uses recent folders and reveals its Main surface during startup, including session restore. The issue describes several separate SDK and workbench changes; done means implementing the selected request with behavior that covers its stated use case.

Smaller requests from Graphl:

  • A plugin data folder. Add host.pluginDataFolder(plugin). Today Graphl keeps its recents beside paletteFolder()'s parent.
  • Times on recent folders. Fizzy's recent folders carry no times, so they can't be grouped by when they were opened.
  • Hiding a panel or surface. There's revealSurface, but no SDK call to hide a surface or close its panel, so a plugin button can show a panel but not toggle it.
  • Replacing the workbench home page. An app can't replace the workbench's home page (plugins/workbench/src/Workspace.zig). Graphl reveals its own Main surface on startup, retrying until the regions exist, and puts it away if the session restore opens something. A home surface slot, or a setting naming the Main surface that starts selected, would make this declarative.
  • A debug warning for Surface.scrolls_itself. A surface whose content is its own scroll area, without scrolls_itself, grows without limit. A debug-build warning would save the next author the hunt.
