Start with the proactive pipeline in sentient/proactivity/prefilter.py, prompts.py and service.py to see how mail and calendar items become suggestions, and check how follow-ups (#110) are wired in. The errand detectors and templates are new work, and the issue leaves the design open. Done means fixture emails for each errand type produce the right suggestion, unrelated mail produces none, and every errand stays a suggestion until the user approves it, with rendering checked in desktop/src/features/notifications/SuggestionCard.tsx.

The headline wins of Instinct, Muse and Dots are small errands: Dots noticed a forgotten invoice and sent it after approval. Sentient already reads mail and calendar locally; it needs detectors for the common cases.

Idea: Detectors and templates for common errands in mail and calendar: flight check-in, reservations to cancel, renewals and subscriptions to cancel, refund follow-ups, price watches that ask before buying, forms to fill from email attachments, and invoices not yet sent. All arrive as suggestions under SAFE-4.

Status in Sentient today: Partial. The proactive pipeline and follow-ups (#110) exist; there are no errand-specific detectors.

Where: sentient/proactivity/prefilter.py, sentient/proactivity/prompts.py, sentient/proactivity/service.py, and suggestion rendering in desktop/src/features/notifications/SuggestionCard.tsx.

Done when:

  • fixture emails for each errand type produce the right suggestion
  • unrelated mail does not
  • every errand stays a suggestion until approved
