Direzione di ricerca

Start from branch phase-9/seed and read spec design 16 and design 04 to understand the seed core needed in stage 4. Implement derivation in core/seed/, then write the bats and Pester acceptance tests listed (identical across machines, checksum reject, etc.). Done means those tests pass and the seed never appears in logs or shell history.

Descrizione

area: core good first issue phase: deceive platform: linux platform: windows type: build

Location & Context

Roadmap branch phase-9/seed. Spec: design 16. Files: core/seed/. Design 04 needs this seed core in stage 4.

Current Behavior

The code is public, so event values cannot be in it, and nothing derives them from a seed. Credentials and deception both need it.

Remediation Plan

  1. Derive values from the event seed, identically on any machine.
  2. Reject a seed with a bad checksum.
  3. Never derive a scored port or a port already listening.
  4. Keep the seed out of logs and shell history.
  5. Write these acceptance tests first (bats and Pester):
    • The same seed yields identical values across two machines.
    • A different seed yields different values.
    • No derived port is a scored port or already listening.
    • A seed with a bad checksum is rejected.
    • A search of the repository for real event values finds nothing.
    • The seed never appears in logs or shell history after a run.
