Direzione di ricerca

Start with the github provider used with a custom baseUrl ending in /api/v3, then check how support() reports capabilities. The issue lists the gaps to cover: GraphQL-backed features, /releases (currently a 404), check runs, and ref resolution that ignores the sha media type. Done means those calls return a clear 'not supported on this host' error, support() reports them as unavailable, and a docs page describes the GitBucket limits. Confirm the approach against a real GitBucket instance if one is available.

Descrizione

provider

First, because the names are almost the same: GitBucket is not Bitbucket. It's a separate self-hosted Git platform written in Scala, with no relation to Atlassian. Bitbucket is already supported, GitBucket is not mentioned anywhere.

GitBucket serves a part of the GitHub REST v3 API at /api/v3, so it doesn't need its own provider. github({ baseUrl: 'https://gitbucket.example.com/api/v3' }) should get most of the way. I haven't tried it with forges yet, but from doing the same in another library, these are the differences I know of:

  • no GraphQL, so discussions, review conversations and anything else on GraphQL is unavailable
  • no releases API, /releases is a 404
  • no check runs, only commit statuses
  • resolving a ref ignores the sha media type and returns the whole commit
  • some payloads miss fields GitHub always sends

So a docs page and turning those 404s into clear "not supported on this host" errors would probably be enough, plus support() reporting them correctly. I can test it against a real instance and send a PR.
