Start with the preset data in zorbit/theme.py and the CSS custom properties that carry the Studio and browser colours, then read zbrush_colors.decode() to see what a ZBrush scheme file yields. The open questions are whether a custom theme is stored per PC or per profile and how it ranks against per-profile Colours, so settle those with the maintainer before writing code. Done means a saved named theme appears on the Theme card and applies to the ring, Studio and browser.

Descrizione

The Theme setting has four fixed choices: Dark, Light, Follow Windows and Match ZBrush. Beyond those, the only thing you can change is the five ring colours under Colours, kept per profile. Studio and the browser have no colours of their own to set, and there is no way to save a look under a name and pick it again.

A fuller system would let people make their own themes:

  • Own themes. Start from Dark, Light or the current Match ZBrush look, change colours, and save the result under a name. It then shows on the Theme card beside the built-in ones.
  • One theme for all three. A theme covers the ring (including the label pill, hint, badge and placeholder disc, which no setting reaches today), Studio and the browser together, with a live preview of each.
  • Readable by default. The editor warns when text would be hard to read on what it sits on, with the same contrast checks the built-in themes are tuned with, and offers a fix.
  • Files to share. A theme is a small file that can be exported, imported and passed around, like a menu export.
  • ZBrush schemes as a start. Make a theme from any ZBrush colour scheme file (the .cfg files in ZStartup\UserInterfaceColors, or one saved with Save Ui Colors), not only the one ZBrush stored last.

The groundwork is there: the presets in zorbit/theme.py are data, a theme already carries its Studio colours as CSS custom properties ("web"), and zbrush_colors.decode() reads any ZBrush scheme file. Questions to settle: whether a custom theme belongs to the PC or to a profile; how it relates to the per-profile Colours, which win over a theme today; and which Studio colours are worth exposing rather than derived.
