Direzione di ricerca

The issue describes rotating the PiFinder UI when the device tilts past 45°, with a ±2° hysteresis, based on the IMU orientation. Start by finding where the accelerometer/IMU data is read and where the UI/display is drawn in the python codebase, then add a rotation state switch with hysteresis between the two thresholds. Done looks like: tilting the device past ~47° rotates the display and past ~43° back, without flickering. The issue is ~16 months old with no assignee and minimal discussion, so confirm the approach still applies to current code first.

Descrizione

enhancement good first issue

If PiFinder‘s orientation is such, that the display is tilted more than (e.g.) 45°, rotate the display accordingly, similar to landscape and portrait mode on a smartphone.

Due to the square nature of our display, this should be rather easy.
Only thing to consider is some hysteresis, so when going up and tilting left, do this at (45+2)° and when going down at (45-2)°.
