The widget ships five strings in 34 languages. Urdu isn't one of them yet. The widget already lays out ur right-to-left (it's in RTL_LANGUAGES), so this only needs the strings.

What to do

Add a ur entry to the I18N table in client/fcaptcha.js. Each entry is five strings, in this order:

  1. label: the resting checkbox label ("I'm not a robot")
  2. verifying: shown while checking ("Verifying…")
  3. verified: shown on success ("Verified")
  4. failed: shown on failure ("Verification failed")
  5. retry: shown before the widget resets ("Verification failed. Please try again.")

Copy the shape of an existing entry such as de. Please only take this on if you're a fluent speaker; machine translations of short UI strings tend to read oddly.

Done when

  • FCaptcha.render(el, { siteKey, lang: 'ur' }) shows your strings
  • cd test/browser && CI=1 npx playwright test i18n passes
  • The language count in the README's feature list is updated
