The payload names no files, so start by finding the query parser code that handles negated, parenthesised OR lists with quoted values. Reproduce -namespace:("a" OR "b") against both the SQL provider and the in-memory executor, and check whether the QueryProviderParity tests cover negated lists. Done when every value of the negated list is excluded on both paths and a regression test covers the two-value case.

While reviewing the query-parser fixes (#6836/#6837), the parser's handling of a NEGATED, QUOTED multi-value list such as -namespace:("a" OR "b") appears to apply only the first value, so the second namespace is not excluded.
Not established: seen in the code, not tested. Expected: every value of a negated list is excluded, on both the SQL and the in-memory executor (QueryProviderParity).
Found while draining PRs (Claude Code, on behalf of the maintainer).
