Direzione di ricerca

Examine the judge evidence window logic in the codebase, likely in a file handling session state or evidence tracking. Look for where messages are pinned or aged out. Review the history from issue #101 to understand the previous verb anchor attempts. The goal is to design a mechanism to identify and preserve task statements that occur mid-session without crowding other evidence.

Descrizione

enhancement ready-for-agent

A task stated mid-session ages out of the judge's evidence window when it has no scope word. The plan's step 6 asked for task verbs in the anchor pattern to keep it. That was tried in #101 and dropped. Saved for a brainstorm round.

"hello" -> "add the provider neuralwatt" -> "ok" -> "yes" -> "try it" (tail 3)
jev-v3 evidence: hello (pinned), ok, yes, try it <- the task statement is gone

The first message since /clear is pinned, so a session that opens with its task keeps it. This issue is the case where the task comes later.

Why a verb list didn't work

Four Codex rounds on #101, each fix trading one miss for another:

Round Finding Cause
1 close missing; past recounts kept finite list, lexical proxy
2 closing couldn't be formed suffix rules
3 5 recounts crowd the request out of the capped slots; cleanup dropped round 1's tense-blindness; round 2's rewrite
4 first-anchored pin drops an unlisted first request round 3's pin change

Any lexical anchor has both failure directions: an unlisted verb loses a request, and a listed one kept in a recount crowds real requests out of the 8 slots.

Directions for the brainstorm

  • Ask Jev which earlier messages state the current task (a selection question over candidate messages) instead of matching words.
  • Give task-bearing messages their own reserved slots, separate from the recency tail, so nothing crowds them out.
  • Measure first: how many authorizing messages in the mined week sat mid-session versus first. The plan counts 15 aged out, but not where they sat.
