Direzione di ricerca

The gaps are in the repository root: there is no LICENSE file, and the [project] table in pyproject.toml has no license field. CONTRIBUTING.md lines 6-7 refer to a license that does not exist. Confirm the license choice with a maintainer first, since the issue proposes MIT, then add the LICENSE file, the license entry in pyproject.toml, and a short note in README.md. Done when the file exists, the metadata names the license, and the README mentions it.

Scritto dal modello di indicizzazione a partire dal testo della issue.

Descrizione

Same situation as gakido: no LICENSE file on main, no license field or classifier in pyproject.toml ([project] has only name/version/description/readme/requires-python/dependencies), while CONTRIBUTING.md lines 6–7 state contributions are "released to the public under the project's open source license". With no license defined, the default is all-rights-reserved: users cannot legally run or redistribute LevelUP, and contributor expectations set by CONTRIBUTING.md are unenforceable.

Fix

  1. Add a LICENSE file (MIT matches the rest of the org: vt, misko, sindoq, dit, scorecard).
  2. Add license = "MIT" under [project] in pyproject.toml.
  3. Note the license in README.md.
