Direzione di ricerca

Start with the features/evaluation page and existing tutorials, which the issue says describe only single-evaluation workflows. Compare the two example flows in the issue: one builds a graph for a single evaluation, while the other evaluates a parameterized circuit. Done means the User Guide clearly explains when to use each workflow and includes examples; no specific file paths or tests are named.

Descrizione

documentation enhancement

The features/evaluation page talks about MajoranaPropagator.build_graph but only in text, not in code examples, and I think this is the only place that function is mentioned in the docs.
The tutorials also all seem to only have single evaluation workflows.
I ended up faffing around trying to use PauliPropagator.from_circuit with an unbound circuit and bind parameters later, which I don't think works.

It would be really useful to have a page explicitly setting out the memory-lean single evaluation flow vs compute-lean multiple evaluation flow!

e.g. when to use

propagator = PauliPropagator(observable, circuit.initial_state, cutoff=16)
propagator.build_graph(circuit)
fn = propagator.expectation_value_functional()

and when to instead use

propagator = PauliPropagator.from_circuit(circuit, observable, cutoff=16)
propagator.expectation_value()
