Research direction

Start at the Getting Started page's development-wheel requirement and inspect the source behind the linked dev_wheels.in.html page. Verify how the development-wheel URL is generated and ensure the published link does not expose templating, including the @OPEN3D_VERSION_FULL@ placeholder. Done means the documented link resolves to usable development-wheel instructions and URLs.

Description

Bug report requirement to try a development wheel points at the link https://www.open3d.org/docs/latest/dev_wheels.in.html#dev-wheels. The 'in' will not be templated, so the links will include templating, e.g. 'https://github.com/isl-org/Open3D/releases/download/main-devel/open3d-@OPEN3D_VERSION_FULL@-cp314-cp314-manylinux_2_35_x86_64.whl', where the '@OPEN3D_VERSION_FULL@" should be replaced by the current version.
