Research direction

The issue asks whether a Boat/USV type from ASVSim can be added to Project AirSim's multi-vehicle path (SimModeWorld, vehicle configuration, SimAddVehicle) so drones, cars, and USVs can run together via settings.json. Start from those APIs and the existing vehicle-type registration described in the issue; there are no named source files or tests. Done would mean a new vehicle type that can be listed with UAV and UGV in settings.json and simulated in one world. Scope and design are open and the thread is old.

Description

enhancement question

Project AirSim can manage multiple vehicle instances such as drones and cars simultaneously in the same world through SimModeWorld, Vehicle Configuration, and SimAddVehicle APIs. May I ask if it is possible to extract the "Unmanned Vessel Vehicle+Dynamics/Sensor Kit" from ASVSim as a new type of Boat vehicle and integrate it into the multi vehicle framework of Project AirSim, and then configure three types of vehicles to exist simultaneously in settings. json to achieve UAV+UGV+USV collaborative simulation.
