Research direction

Start by reviewing ROADMAP.md and the approved mockup, then investigate the icon sources and the licensing question described in the issue. Record the answers as a dated decision in ROADMAP.md; the issue is done when it has a milestone with its own checklist.

Description

enhancement later

Show each item's in-game icon beside its name.

What has to be settled before this gets a milestone

  • Where the icons come from. Fetching them from XIVAPI while the app runs adds a network call beyond the market APIs and the update check. Bundling them adds to the install, and a script has to regenerate them after a patch, like the item data.
  • Whether they can ship at all. They're Square Enix's game assets, in an Apache-2.0 repo.
  • Where they sit in the approved mockup, without a redesign.

Done when

  • The settled answers are a dated decision in ROADMAP.md, and this issue gets a milestone with its own checklist.
