Research direction

Start by reading ROADMAP.md and the issue’s notes on Windows-only toasts, the tray, and Velopack Setup. The platform decisions and how Linux builds will be checked are still open; settle and record them as a dated decision in ROADMAP.md. Done means the issue has a milestone with its own checklist.

Description

enhancement later

Run Gil Sweep on Linux, for Steam Deck and XLCore players.

What has to be settled before this gets a milestone

  • What's Windows-only today: toasts register an AppUserModelID under HKCU, so the Desktop project targets the Windows 10 SDK (2026-10-05, ROADMAP.md), and the tray and Velopack's Setup are Windows builds.
  • How it's checked. On CI only, or by hand too.

Done when

  • The settled answers are a dated decision in ROADMAP.md, and this issue gets a milestone with its own checklist.
