Research direction

Start by reading the linked ADK authentication specification and the referenced adk-python pull request. Determine whether ADK Java should implement equivalent MCP authentication or document a workaround; done means a defined roadmap or supported best practice for OAuth-protected MCP servers.

Description

waiting on reporter

As per this specification https://google.github.io/adk-docs/tools/authentication/ I would like to know, if there is some roadmap for having this implemented in ADK itself (as it seems that Python version is already processing this functionality as pull request here https://github.com/google/adk-python/pull/2061), or if is there some best-practice/workaround for developers using this library who are in need to seamlessly set communication between agent and OAuth-protected MCP server. Many thanks for any reply.
