Research direction

Open README.md and locate the NPU support section where Ascend appears. Change the text to Huawei Ascend. Done when the README references the hardware as Huawei Ascend.

Prerequisites
  • I am running the latest code. Mention the version if possible as well.
  • I carefully followed the README.md.
  • I searched using keywords relevant to my issue to make sure that I am creating a new issue that is not already open (or closed).
  • I reviewed the Discussions, and have a new and useful enhancement to share.
Feature Description

Rewrite "Ascend" to "Huawei Ascend" in README.md.

Motivation

README.md uses standalone "Ascend" for the NPU hardware in the support section. Readers who are not familiar with Ascend's background cannot tell the manufacturer of Ascend from this line. Writing "Huawei Ascend" makes the hardware reference clearer.

Possible Implementation

Just rewrite "Ascend" to "Huawei Ascend" in README.md.
