Research direction

Start by locating where git2cpp discovers the .git directory and how its CLI commands use that location. Extend discovery to check parent directories until a repository is found; verify that commands such as git status work when run from a repository subdirectory, while still handling directories outside a repository.

Description

enhancement

If you are in a subdirectory of a repo, git status (and similar) find the repo (i.e. the .git directory) by looking in parent directories until one is found. Currently git2cpp only looks in the current directory, it would be good to look in the parent directories also.
