Research direction
Start by locating hookd's log-serving HTTP entry point and the existing whole-log request path. Read the HTTP Range and Content-Range specifications linked in the issue, then trace how log length and responses are produced. Done means clients can request new log lines by range and hookd reports the returned log extent with Content-Range.

Currently, you can only request the whole log from hookd, which is a bit unfortunate.
We can utilise HTTP range requests for requesting new log lines, and hookd can indicate with HTTP content ranges how much of the resulting log has been returned.
