Línea de trabajo

Start by locating the LED-type configuration and the existing SK6812 / WS2814 RGBW implementation. Check whether UCS2904 can be exposed as an alias without a separate driver, then verify that RGB channels, the dedicated white channel, and white color temperature control work with the reported RGB color order.

Descripción

enhancement

Thanks for suggesting an idea to improve WLED!

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

I am using 48V RGBW LED pucks based on the UCS2904 controller. UCS2904 is not currently available as a selectable LED type in WLED, so configuring these LEDs requires knowing that another supported LED type happens to be compatible.

The specific pucks I am using are Fuzhou Hongrui HR-DGY-25-RGBW-48V. They contain RGB LEDs plus a dedicated white channel.

I have them working successfully in WLED using:

  • LED type: SK6812 / WS2814 RGBW
  • Color order: RGB

With this configuration, the RGB channels and dedicated white channel work correctly, including white color temperature control.

The main issue is that a user with UCS2904 LEDs would have no obvious way to know that this configuration should be used.

The solution you'd like

I would like UCS2904 RGBW LEDs to be recognized as a supported LED type in WLED so users can select UCS2904 directly when configuring their LEDs.

I am not suggesting that this necessarily requires a separate driver. If UCS2904 is fully compatible with an existing implementation such as SK6812 / WS2814 RGBW, exposing it as a supported option or alias would accomplish the goal.

Alternatives you've considered

The current workaround is to configure the LEDs as SK6812 / WS2814 RGBW with RGB color order.

This works for my hardware, but requires users to already know that UCS2904 is compatible with that WLED configuration.

Additional Context

The hardware I have tested is:

  • Controller: UCS2904
  • Manufacturer: Fuzhou Hongrui
  • Model: HR-DGY-25-RGBW-48V
  • Supply voltage: 48V DC
  • LED type: RGBW
  • Physical LED arrangement: 3 RGB LEDs and 3 white LEDs per puck

I would be happy to provide additional hardware information, photos, testing, or configuration details if helpful.
