Línea de trabajo
Start by tracing Pix's properties side window handling of embedded XMP and compare its Person Display Name result with the Linux Mint Image Viewer behavior described in the issue. Verify how the face-region name is read and consider the Microsoft People Tag and MWG Face Region schemas; done means Pix displays the actual name rather than the numeric value.

Bug description
I have written facial information into the xmp part of the jpg when using digicam by enabling the ability in settings.
When you view the XMP embedded information in Pix using the "properties side window" the "Person Display Name" shows a number instead of the actual name.
If I try the same thing in the default "Image viewer" in Linux Mint, it show the correct Name.
A quick google search "digicam embed face in xmp jpg showing as a number not the name" shows this.
Schema Mismatch: digiKam can write face regions using either the Microsoft People Tag Schema or the Metadata Working Group (MWG) Face Region Schema. Some third-party software only reads one of these. If digiKam writes using MWG but the viewer expects Microsoft tags (or vice versa), the viewer may fail to read the RegionPersonDisplayName or RegionName fields, showing only an internal ID or number.
Steps to reproduce
- In digiKam settings that "Face Tags (including face regions)" is enabled for writing.
- Select a face and tag it and ensure the tag has been saved/applied
- Open the file in Pix and click properties and check the XMP Embedded -> Person Display Name. This shows as a number.
- Open using Image Viewer - View->Side Pane->Details->XMP Other->Person Display Name shows as a name.
Expected behavior
XMP Embedded Person Display Name to show as a name.
